Youth Programs & Activities

Throughout the year, Rohnert Park Community Services offers a variety of programs for children, ranging from classes, camp, and preschool to swim lessons and sports. Summer Camps

Camp dates will be announced early spring!

We’re excited to offer three unique summer camp experiences designed for different age groups and interests:

  • Teen Camp (Ages 11–14) – An excursion-based program filled with adventure! Teen Camp features exciting trips to destinations around Sonoma County and the Bay Area. Campers practice independence and responsibility by exploring designated areas with a buddy system and regular staff check-ins throughout the day.
  • Leaders-in-Training (L.I.T.) (Ages 12–14) – Our L.I.T. program is designed to help teens develop leadership skills in a supportive camp setting. Participants will assist staff in leading games, crafts, and activities, gaining hands-on experience as role models for younger campers. This program occurs in conjunction with Camp Burton.

  • Camp Burton (Ages 5–10) – Camp Burton is a day-camp program offering flexible scheduling options to fit your family’s needs. Campers enjoy a variety of activity rotations each day, including art, STEM projects, and outdoor sports. Twice a week, we cool off with pool days on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.

These summer camps are run by our dedicated City staff. In addition, we offer a wide variety of specialty classes and camps led by our awesome contract instructors. Be sure to check out our Current Recreation Guide for the latest offerings!
