Planning

The Planning Division is responsible for implementing City policies that direct the physical development of Rohnert Park. Planning serves as the point of entry for development proposals and provides assistance to architects, designers, developers, builders, and residents navigating the regulatory process.

The Planning Division accepts all applications via email to the Planning Division (preferred), or in person at City Hall. Note that all applications are processed in the order received (i.e., an in-person application is not processed more quickly than emailed applications). City staff may also require applicants to mail hard copy versions of documents for certain entitlements and applications. The Planning Division will coordinate reviews by outside referral agencies as well as other departments, such as Fire, Building and Engineering.
