ROHNERT PARK, CALIF.—The City of Rohnert Park has updated its website with new functionality to create a streamlined experience for Rohnert Park residents, businesses, and people interested in learning about the City.
With a focus on simplifying the user experience and giving the public up-to-date information of Rohnert Park, RPCity.org is aiming to set a new standard in government information. Changes to the website include a dynamic home page, easier access to top requests of residents, a news and event center updated daily, and over time, simplified instructions to access permits, to provide payment, to report an issue, and to make all city services easier for all users.
“Websites are the foundation for public communication,” said City Manager Marcela Piedra, “and in order to better engage online with our community, we needed to build a better website that works for our staff, our community, and our regional partners. Today’s change is the first step toward that.”
On August 9, 2024, the City of Rohnert Park contracted with CivicPlus to rebuild the website from the ground up, totaling $53,011.50 from the 2024/2025 fiscal year, and to perform ongoing services. The City will continue to update its online experience in the coming months and years, and rollout additional features, including to align with rebranding efforts, an addition of accessible bidding information, robust information through maps, regular surveys, and simpler ways to engage with the city to report issues.
