🛴 Back-to-School Scooter Safety Reminder! 🏫
As students return to class, let’s make safety a top priority — especially for those riding electric scooters (e-scooters)!
📌 Know the rules for riding safely in California:
✔️ Riders must be at least 16 years old.
✔️ Helmets are required for anyone under 18.
✔️ E-scooters must stay off sidewalks — use bike lanes or ride on the right side of the road.
✔️ One rider per scooter — no passengers.
✔️ Obey all traffic signs and signals — e-scooters follow the same rules as bikes.
✔️ Be seen: wear bright clothing and use lights at night.
👮♂️ Our officers will be out in school zones and neighborhoods to help ensure everyone is following the rules and staying safe.
