The work will take place at the Rohnert Park Cotati Regional Library located at 6250 Lynne Conde Way in Rohnert Park. The work is generally described as: demolish existing interior lights, lighting controls, fire alarm control panel, initiating and signaling devices, Variable Air Volume (VAVs) systems, coil units, 1-packaged HVAC rooftop unit and exhaust fans. Provide and install new electrical equipment, fire alarm control panel, and initiating and signaling devices. Provide and install new VAVs, coil units, a new packaged HVAC roof top unit, new relocated exhaust fans and extended exterior ducting. Provide and install new nlighting and controls for all removed/demolished and built-in furniture light fixtures.
The Contractor must have a valid California contractor’s license, a Class B, General Building Contractor License is required. The Engineer’s estimate for this Project $1,550,000. This project was supported in whole or in part by funding provided by the State of California, administered by the California State Library. The Contractor must begin work within fifteen (15) calendar days after official notice by the City Engineer to proceed with the work and must diligently prosecute the same to completion within 199 calendar days of that Notice.
There is lead time built into the project schedule for providing submittals and procuring materials for the HVAC system, fire alarm, VAV system, and nlighting. Materials staging may take place starting August 10, 2026, in the Flores Room of the library, for materials other than the HVAC system. The library will be open for business during that time. The library will be closed September 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026 so that construction may take place.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 9:00AM on March 17, 2026 at the Rohnert Park Cotati Regional Library located at 6250 Lynne Conde Way, Rohnert Park. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is mandatory for all prime contractors submitting a bid. For those who have attended the pre-bid conference, additional site visits can be scheduled if the City is notified twenty-four (24) hours in advance.
