Water Main Flushing Notice

During the months of March through May, the City of Rohnert Park Public Works Department will be performing water main flushing in your neighborhood. In an effort to minimize the disruption of water service, flushing will be conducted from 8:00 AM through 4:30 PM. 

The process involves moving water from specified fire hydrants in order to remove sediment and materials that have accumulated on the inside of pipes. Flushing from specific locations is a more effective way of cleaning than flushing every fire hydrant in the system and uses on average about 40% less water. During the flushing process, customers may experience low water pressure or discolored water. While the water is safe to drink, customers may prefer to wait until it runs clear before drinking, washing clothes, or other related activities. Please note your water will not get shut off at any time in the process.

April 20, 2026 – May 8, 2026: Section M, Section S
